A 3-month, introductory-length course is the right call when you genuinely don't know yet whether robotics, coding, or game design will hold a child's interest past the first few weeks. It's low-commitment by design, and a reasonable one-term trial before committing further.
Once interest is established, a 6-month course typically moves past "introduction" into actually getting good at something — deeper tools, more independent projects, and less hand-holding than a first course. This is usually where a student stops just following instructions and starts making real decisions in their own project.
A full-year program is worth it when a student has already shown real interest and you're looking for depth — specialisation, a capstone project, and often the kind of work that's genuinely worth putting in a portfolio. It's a meaningfully bigger commitment of both time and money, and works best when it's not a first guess.
